| LMS Commercial Training are offering parents and carers
the opportunity to learn how to deal with medical emergencies involving
children and babies. Courses are taught by experienced NHS paramedics
& nurses, are 3-4 hours long and give an introduction to identifying
and dealing with life-threatening situations such as:
- Airway obstructions & choking
- Serious Bleeding & Injuries
- Loss of consciousness
- Respiratory Arrest & Cardiac Arrest
There will also be opportunities do discuss identification and
treatment of less serious, but more common medical problems such
as:
- Febrile Convulsions
- Croup
- High Temperatures
- Knocks & Bumps
- Head Injuries
- Bites & Stings
Courses are run in an informal and relaxed manner and group sizes
are minimised to ensure everyone attending gets optimal instruction
and opportunity for questions. Training is carried out using the
latest audio visual presentation equipment and all candidates will
practice life saving techniques on realistic training manikins.
